Drug Out Reach Services (DORS) |
|
At risk
youth that lack essential protective factors such as
enduring family relationships, financial security, and
educational opportunities, are especially vulnerable to
substance use. To address this challenge, Santa Fe
Adolescent Services developed the Drug Out Reach
Services (DORS) to serve the youth of Tarrant
County. Program design takes into consideration specific
needs of families in crisis and those young people who
are "wanting help and running out of places to look".
|
|
Program Overview:
Drug Out Reach Services provides
community-based intervention and screening
services to those families most in need of
assistance, but are less likely to access
needed mental health and substance abuse
services. DORS can be requested by youth, a family
member, as well as any other agencies providing
assistance to youth and their families.
